Two Years at the Monastery: A Journey of Devotion, Growth, and the Stupa
The 26th November marked a very special milestone it has been two years since I was appart of the Brick Laying Ceremony and laying the first golden bricks deep within the earth of the foundation for the stupa at the monastery. Looking back, these two years have been more than just the physical act of building they have been a journey of self-discovery, spiritual growth, and deep connection.
When I first arrived at the monastery, I was drawn not only to its serene beauty but to the profound sense of presence and peace that seemed to permeate the grounds. The monastery became my sanctuary, a space where I could step away from the noise of the world and truly reconnect with myself and my purpose.
Being part of the stupa’s creation has been a sacred practice in itself. Each brick I helped place, each flower I offered, and every hour spent in meditation or assisting the monks and community has been a step on my personal path. The work challenged me physically, emotionally and spiritually yet it taught me patience, humility and the power of intention.
Over time, I began to notice how this journey at the monastery mirrored my inner life. The discipline, devotion and care required to build the stupa reflected the work I have been doing to build my own inner temple creating space for love, clarity and spiritual alignment. Moments of struggle became lessons in surrender, moments of joy became reminders of gratitude.
The monastery community has been an incredible part of this journey. Together, we shared laughter, reflection, and the quiet satisfaction of contributing to something far greater than ourselves. I watched the stupa slowly take shape, brick by brick, and with it, I felt my own spirit growing stronger, steadier, and more aligned with the values I hold dear.
These two years have been transformative. The stupa now stands not only as a place of reverence and prayer but as a symbol of what devotion, love, and commitment can create. And for me, it is also a reminder that every act of service, no matter how small, is part of a greater journey, a journey of inner growth, connection, and spiritual awakening.
I am deeply grateful for this experience, for the teachings, for the community, and for the opportunity to walk this sacred path. The stupa is not just a structure it is a reflection of the love, faith, and dedication that flows through each of us who has been part of this journey. And as it continues to grow, so too does my heart, my awareness and my connection to something eternal.
